This Eppendorf 5804 R Refrigerated Centrifige looks to be in good cosmetic condition, showing some minor signs of external wear. When I first received this centrifuge I could not get it to power up, so I removed the front covers to see if anything was obviously wrong with it. I'm no expert on this machine, but there was a fairly obvious broken electrical connection on the printed circuit board right under the cover, so I soldered a piece of insulated wire onto the board to bridge the connection (the last two photos above show the broken connection before and after my repair). After I did that, the centrifige powered up, and the digital display came on, and it responded to input from the buttons, and the chambered cooled down successfully. I tried to get it to start spinning, but every time I pressed the START button, I could see a spark flash on the inside of the circuit board that I partially repaired, and the display seemed to rest itself by displaying "eppendorf" followed by "5804R V3.1" and then the various temp and speed settings. So this centrifuge will likely need some more repair, and it is being sold as-is. It comes with an A-4-44 Rotor, as shown. The speed setting ranges up to 5000 rpm, and the temperature setting ranges down to -9°C.
