This Associated Environmental Systems model SD308SC Environmental Chamber (230VAC, 1Ph, 60Hz, 17FLA) looks to be in good cosmetic condition, showing some signs of wear. It powers up, and heats and cools successfully. The temperature set point ranges from -75°C to +183°C. First I set the temperature to the minimum of 75°C, and let the system start cooling. It took about 4.5 hours for it to cool from 21° to 71°C. I think it would have eventually reached 75°C, but I was leaving for the day, so I turned it off. The next day I set the temperature to the maximum of 183°C, and let it heat up. It heated up to 79°C, and then the "Failsafe" light came on, and it stopped heating up. So I let it cool down for a little while, and then pressed the "Failsafe Reset" button to get it to start heating up again. This time it reached 82°C before the "Failsafe" light came on. If I just kept pressing the Reset button, it would heat up one more degree, and then the failsafe light would come on again. I'm not sure how to change the "Failsafe" set point. This is the extent of my testing of this chamber, and it is being sold as-is. Approximate internal chamber dimensions: 24"W x 24"H x 24"L. Approximate overall unpacked dimensions: 56"W x 35"H x 39"D (not including a pallet).
